Kenyatta Pollock is an accomplished educator and advocate for education equality in communities of low socio-economic status. She holds Master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership from the American College of Education, along with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Information Systems from the University of Florida. Kenyatta has demonstrated expertise in educational and administrative capacities through her extensive background in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and leadership. Her professional journey began as a 2014 Teach for America Corps member, where she was dedicated to transforming education through innovative instructional strategies at First Coast High School. Kenyatta facilitated academic growth in mathematics for 6th-12th grade students by tailoring instruction to meet their needs. Her philosophy is that all students have the potential to be proficient and meet their maximum potential regardless of their background. Her accomplishments include achieving the highest student proficiency rate in her content area, serving as a teacher mentor, literacy team member, department lead, and being named the 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year. Her ability to identify student weaknesses and modify the curriculum led her to a role as an instructional coach, where she empowered teachers with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to provide highquality education. Kenyatta has facilitated professional development, personalized teacher support, built collaborative relationships, and performed data analysis. Her professional journey reflects her dedication to education and advocacy for equality in low socio-economic communities. Kenyatta's early experiences and aspirations have shaped her into a passionate educator and leader, committed to making a positive impact on students' lives and fostering their academic and personal growth. As the Founding Dean of Instruction at Becoming Collegiate Academy, Kenyatta is passionate about developing educational opportunities for students, leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences, developing teachers, and fostering positive decision-making for future leaders.
